Aultmore 18 Year

More of a sweeter whisky with light peat taste, with notes of fruits and caramel. The taste of barrel is also a bit poignant at first and might not be the best balance in a whisky. Despite the strong scent of sweetness, there's a whole body beneath and the overall tasting was indeed pleasant.

I bought this at a Duty Free shop at Heathrow in late 2017 after tasting a sample and liking it. I’m primarily a bourbon and rye drinker, and don’t find this whisky as pleasant as I once did. It’s okay, but I wouldn’t buy another bottle.
