Tasting Notes
"Pouring a light amber color, this aged rum-esque spirit shows a heady nose full of tones of wild agricole distillate in all of its sweaty, funky, glory. Below the ester-y top notes are layers of lemon peel, sassafras, and wet earth. The wood aging has dried the palate out a bit and adds structure to chewy, highly-textured palate. A mild black cherry note emerges on the lightly fruity finish. Avuá Bálsamo Cachaça is a wild spirit that would appeal to fans of rums from Haiti or Martinique."
