Backwards Distilling Company is project out of Casper, Wyoming from the Pollock family. Their schtick is that each spirit is named for a circus character. Sword Swallower is a unique rum that's made with from evaporated, organic cane juice and a proprietary strain of yeast to create a style in the spirit of an agricole. Another interesting twist is it is finished in used tequila barrels.
Gold RumRum that is often aged, but can also just have caramel-coloring added to provide color. No specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for aging for most countries with a few exceptions.
"It's fun to sip something that tastes so very tropical that's made in the heart of Wyoming. Banana, mango, pineapple, papaya and vanilla take on some acidity with a little lemon. A pleasant twang of funky herbal notes like sage and mint cut through the fruitiness, and it finishes clean and sugary with just a touch of smoke. "
