Baker's Single Barrel Bourbon 7 Year

Really good nose: oak, smoke, baking spices. Palate is nice (not very oily) with a long finish. More oak and smoke on the palate. For the money it is a good purchase.

So so smooth. Not as complex as Michter’s but really love the smoothness

Plum and caramel flavors. Very smooth!

Carmel front, spicy finish

Nose: It smells like vanilla and rye spice. It smells like a higher proof bourbon than what it is. Palate: Vanilla, oak, nuts and baking spices seem to be prevalent from front to back. The heat builds and then drops off. Cherry notes are in the background through out. Finish: medium to long finish. Oak and spice is what is left over from the palate.

This is a great single barrel bourbon. With a 107 proof it does not disappoint, thus finding a home on my shelf. After trying various single barrels, I had this one at a bar during the Superbowl, I was amazed! It has the typical Beam nuttiness, hints of vanilla, and a warming rye spice. Since that evening I've purchased my own, and while it hasn't topped my favorite single barrel, Bakers 107 certainly holds its own.
