Nose: Vanilla, spice, leather and citrus. Vanilla and spice is the main characters in the show. Palate: On the palate the vanilla and spices are on the main stage. The leather and citrus notes hang out in the middle and back end of the palate but sometimes one is more noticeable than the other. It’s just sweet enough but hot over powering. The sweetness mixes well with the spice, citrus and leather notes. Finish: The finish is long and the heat tends to build until the finish fades with the heat.60.0 USD per Bottle

Nose: Vanilla, cinnamon, nuts and sweet oak are well balanced. It smells sweet. Palate: Upfront you get a lot of vanilla. As it works it’s way to the back you get some cinnamon and nuts and finishes on the sweet oak note. Finish: Long finish as described above. I love this bourbon. It’s probably one of my favorite “Friday night pours.”75.0 USD per Bottle

Nose: Vanilla and spice is primarily what you smell on the nose. I Palate: light to medium mouth feel. The first thing I tasted was a strong vanilla note into a strong spice. Finish: The finish is a little more spicer than most 100 proofs would drink, but it wasn’t unbearable. Overall it’s not a complex bourbon. I think it drink within its price point but it’s nothing you will rave about. It’s a drink you sit down while watching tv with.

Nose: Vanilla, red fruit and grapes are the primary notes I get on the nose. Spice is in the background but not over bearing. Palate: It drinks incredible. It has a really nice, coating mouth feel and none of the spice mentioned is over bearing. I get vanilla, apples, grapes and a touch of cinnamon. If you like fruit forward bourbons, this is for you. Finish: Medium finish. The spice tends to gradually build and then fade. Amazing bourbon at a great price. 30-35 dollars for a 10 year, age stated, bourbon is a great value. It’s one of my favorites from Buffalo Trace.30.0 USD per Bottle

Nose: Vanilla, nuts, cinnamon and apple are well balanced. You can tell on the nose this is a higher proof bourbon, but it’s not uncomfortable to smell. Palate: fair nuts and apples are what this reminds me of. As the bottle gets some air in it, the heat seems to take a back seat. Good mouth feel to it. Finish: Finish is long and seems to end on a nutty note. Overall it’s a great bourbon, it’s just over priced. If it was a 60 to 70 dollar bourbon, I’d give it a higher rating.85.0 USD per Bottle

Rebel Single Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 2, 2022 (edited February 9, 2023)Nose: Carmel, oak, nuts and cinnamon. Carmel and cinnamon being the big notes I smell mixed in with some heat. Palate: Reminds me of a red hot. If you mixed Larceny Barrel Proof and Elijah Craig Barrel Proof together and add extra cinnamon, you’d end up with this. Well balanced and great taste. Finish: medium to long. The cinnamon and nuts build on the finish a lot more than on the palate.65.0 USD per Bottle -
Baker's Single Barrel Bourbon 7 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 1, 2022 (edited July 24, 2022)Nose: It smells like vanilla and rye spice. It smells like a higher proof bourbon than what it is. Palate: Vanilla, oak, nuts and baking spices seem to be prevalent from front to back. The heat builds and then drops off. Cherry notes are in the background through out. Finish: medium to long finish. Oak and spice is what is left over from the palate. -
Early Times Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 29, 2022 (edited August 29, 2022)Nose: Plenty of alcohol comes through on the nose. It smells like it’s going to drink hotter than it does. Notes of Carmel, vanilla and brown sugar are the most prevalent. Mild citrus notes are detected as well. Palate: It drinks like a young bourbon. A decent amount of heat is present, but not over powering. Carmel and brown sugar are what I primarily taste. It finishes with a hint of orange and another unidentified flavor (perhaps a tobacco). Mouthfeel: pretty light mouth feel but it doesn’t take away from tasting the bourbon. Little viscosity.25.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose: mint, Carmel/vanilla, grass and rye spice Pallet: the pallet reflects what the nose smells. The Carmel/vanilla note is present in the front and the back end has a building rye spice and spearmint taste. Finish: short to medium finish. Mouth feel: decent viscosity, not great, but it doesn’t drink as watery as other ryes I’ve tried at this proof point. Overall it’s a really crushable rye. Not a whole lot going on but I think it’s worth it’s price point.50.0 USD per Bottle
