Balcones Texas Pot Still Bourbon

Candied nuts and occasionally I get something like a ripe red apple. Definitely an outlier both among bourbon due to its distillation and flavor profile and among Balcones products because of its relatively low proof. This is one of their most accessible products and my personal favorite.

Deserves better than a 79. Good bourbon. Not sweet enough for me, but has a complex flavor for such a young bourbon. Easy on the nose, but nutty, leather on the taste. Great oily mouth feel. Would keep a bottle on hand at the mid $20’s price point.
