Outstanding for the price. Drinks like an 80 dollar bottle. Spicy like a Rye, has notes of black tea, caramel, grilled corn. Delicious. Soft mouthfeel, medium to medium-heavy bodied. Smell is soft and gently, a little creamy.
On the nose it comes across with a lot of heat with an underlying sweetness. Not sure if the heat is the proof, rye, or baking spice. The sweetness is might be from honey, vanilla, or something else. On the palate you get a much different profile. The sweetness is still there but have a more of a berry note with the honey. The heat that is there on the nose really toned down.
Nose has roasted peanuts and salted caramel with a hint of apple butter. The peanuts go a little minerally on the palate. Apple is there with cinnamon. The finish os peanut butter and pepper. Ends a little bitter.
