The Origin Series is the brand's first estate-distilled collection with 100% of production from distilling to bottling handled at Bardstown Bourbon Co. This Kentucky straight rye is one of three core releases in the series. It was made a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley.

RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"The nose is green, like a grassy meadow dotted with wildflowers, and also offers spearmint, salted caramel and vanilla taffy. The palate offers rye spice, black pepper and nutmeg, along with sour cherries, dill, menthol, and raspberries. The finish offers notes of sassafras and kola, as well as cacao nibs, and is peppery with jalapeno. "
