Distilled at San Francisco-based Hotaling & Co. (formerly known as Anchor Distilling Co.), this is an aged version of their Genevieve genever-style gin. Genevieve was first introduced in 2007 and is made in the traditional oude genever-style beginning with a mash of wheat, barley, and rye. This barrel-finished version utilizes the distillery's once-used Old Potrero Straight Rye Whiskey barrels. Aged for 33 months, the gin is bottled at 47.3% ABV.

Tasting Notes

"Mature and elegant, like well-cellared wine. The aroma is exotic and balanced with honey, beer malt, bitter lemon, and balsam scented candles. The palate is initially smooth and opens with dark sugars like honey and molasses. Beer malt and vanilla soda add lift to the mid-palate. Traditional botanical flavors give a refreshing bitter finish. Enjoy this as a nice chaser in a Boilermaker, a good base for a Highball, or neat."
