Tarquin's Dry Gin
London Dry Gin
Tarquin's // Cornwall, England
Named after the distillery's founder and head distiller, Tarquin Leadbetter, this Cornish dry gin is distilled in small batches (300 bottles) at the Southwestern Distillery located on the coast of North Cornwall. This contemporary London Dry Gin is produced by soaking the botanicals (including Devon violets, citrus zest, green cardamom seeds and bitter almond) in a wheat-based neutral spirit overnight. It is distilled in a direct-fire copper pot-still and made in the one-shot distillation method.
Local Cornish water is used to bring the spirit down to 42% ABV. Note: This is not currently available in the U.S.

Tasting Notes
"The gin has the floral note running throughout, but the gin is more spice driven with the cardamom and cinnamon playing a little bit louder. The other botanicals add depth to the gin and the licorice just a touch of sweetness. The finish is dry and slightly bitter. Try in sour cocktails like the Casino or just a simple gin sour to show off the gin."
