Reviewed March 11, 2021 (edited February 29, 2024)The “bourbon” in this bourbon is absent to the taste. It legit tastes like brandy. Now that being said it is good. Worth $90. Ehh... not really. Maybe $50...? Its a novelty and you need to recognize you’re purchasing a novelty up front. -

Reviewed March 5, 2021 (edited July 12, 2021)Part of a Barrell virtual tasting event that provided free 2 oz samples for NCWH. Sample provided was 113.54 proof. Nose - Aged chardonnay, golden raisins, grape brandy, funnel cake, medium ethanol. Palate - Stewed apples and pears, maple sugar, chocolate covered orange, funky corn. Medium finish, pit fruits and candy, light oak and rye spice. I'm overrating this because it's the 5th of 2 oz pours. I'm drunk. -

Reviewed February 22, 2021Aroma: citrus, hint of cherry, floral, perfumey, charred oak. Smells more like a rye than anything. Flavor: very citrus forward, definitely a strong tangerine note, slight bitterness throughout, vanilla borderline creamsicle, barrel spice, hint of minerals Overall: Very unique and rather complex. The traditional bourbon flavors are there but only slightly, this is very bright and citrus forward. This would be fun to incorporate into a cocktail but just isn't my jam for drinking neat. -

Reviewed February 7, 2021Not your typical whiskey, very strong on the pear notes. Taste more like a brandy very fruity. A good change up to your everyday bourbon/scotch
