Best Penelope I’ve had so far and had quite a few. Nose is baking spices, citrus fruit and vanilla Palate is very sweet, light fruity notes and surprisingly very viscous for a Penelope whiskey. Finish isn’t long but very nice One of the better whiskey I’ve had in a while and less than $100. Definitely a buy

GlenAllachie 15 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 16, 2021 (edited December 6, 2021)Color: very dark for a scotch from the sherry cask Nose: rich dark chocolate, figs, brown sugar Palate: raisins, chocolate, cherries, lot of wood influence This is a very good dram, I’d say it’s similar to a Glendronach 18 not as refined but a very good sherry whisky -
Kilchoman PX Sherry Cask Matured (2021 Edition)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 11, 2021 (edited September 24, 2022)Light peat on the nose, very rich tobacco and dark chocolate. Palate is rich with the same tobacco notes, sweet dried fruits from the sherry with a very moderate peat level which I enjoyed. Finish is not very long but this whisky is refined and feels old even though it shows no age statement. Easy buy at $100100.0 USD per BottleHouston -
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A120
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 30, 2021 (edited November 6, 2021)This ain’t no beginners bourbon, lot of heat but when you get past the first sip the cherry sweet, buttery caramel notes really shine through. This bourbon is thick it’s a one glass whiskey for sure. If you can take the heat the classic ECBP flavors are worth it! I’m usually a barrel proof lover but this may need a drop or two of water -
