Bourbon
Barrell Craft Spirits // USA
This bottling from Barrell Craft Spirits is one of two releases in the brand's new Cask Finish Series featuring blends of straight bourbons with unique finishes. This vatting was then finished in casks from BCS's 2018 Tale of Two Islands Rum, a Jamaican rum which was matured in peated Islay single malt barrels. (The overall mash bill equivalent 73% corn, 23% rye, 4% malted barley).
It was bottled at cask strength. Available fall 2023. (SRP $89.99).

Tasting Notes
"This bourbon has a flavor profile akin to a Mexican mole sauce—think aromas and flavors of milk chocolate, roasted nuts and seeds, sweet spices, savory herbs (thyme, rosemary, bayleaf), berries, prunes, and a touch of salt. It is quite rich and oily on the palate, with a medium finish that is spicy, herbal, and fruity with a lashing note of leather. "
