Barrell Seagrass

Apricot all the way through. Nose is heavy apricot and sweet. That carries through on the palate, hot from the barrel strength but that works well with the sweet apricot flavor. I like this a lot but could definitely understand if someone didn't because of the very dominant apricot flavor and sweetness.

Nose is sweet with notes if caramel, vanilla, and stone fruit. Its a little hot on the tongue but thay fives way to a burst if fruity apricot. The finish is more tingle than flavor.

Nose - Jolly Rancher medley, fruity bubble gum, fresh apricot, artificial grape, white pepper, orange peel, clove, very light oak, and strong ethanol. Palate - Runts, Jolly Ranchers, etc. The front palate is full of artificial fruit candies. Apricot and grape jam, white pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, brown sugar, butterscotch, and spicy rye notes. Finish is medium-long with lingering apricot syrup, grape candy, rye spice, Red Hots, black pepper, and strong ethanol bite. Finally got to try this via my brother, it's a good pour but also not sure the initial chase was justified. Luckily, it's readily available years after its release, and you can find it in some places for $80. If you like this kind of profile, definitely worth a pick up.

The name certainly got my attention, but I really have no idea how it's supposed to relate to the flavors in here. The apricot brandy flavor dominates completely, in a good way. It drinks pretty hot, as most Barrell blends do. Tastes great, but a little too sweet to drink frequently or have multiple glasses.

Neat - on the nose, there is alot of fruity sweetness. The apricot brandy is noticeable on the nose, but not dominant or overwhelming. On the palate, there is alot of fruity sweetness, not necesarrily apricot, just fruit and sweetness. On the finish, there is also that classic and expected rye spice that comes through initially after sipping and sticks around for a little while after swallowing.
