Nose: Just a whiff of this whiskey is enough to tell it's a little young, though I do not get much corn. Letting it sit in a glencairn for a bit brings out some baking spices, rye, and oddly a hint of homemade rolls.
Palate: Considering the proof it hits kind of hard. There's a flash of warmth to the mouth feel, which although thin, carries muted spice, black pepper, and lingering astringents. Successive tastes really l, strongly reminds me of Crackerjacks.
I would drink this again, but I wouldn't call this my everyday bourbon.
