Reviewed January 25, 2020Nose is completely dominated by wood. Barrel char, tree bark, tobacco and burnt caramel something very herbal. Maybe the stump of a rosemary or mint bush. A bit of vanilla in there. Dry, astringent palate. Cedar closet, caramel, more charred wood... a bit of sticky sweetness helps add some dimension. -

Reviewed December 29, 2018 (edited June 15, 2021)Another one I haven't opened in a long while! Based on a recipe from the 1800s distilled using barley, oats and rye. Still has that distinctive Copper Fox woody nose to it, lots of wood on the taste.
