Belle Meade Sour Mash Straight Bourbon

Nose: maple syrup, brown sugar, caramel, candied orange peel, lightly floral. Palate: major rye spice with vanilla, some maple, oaky, almond, walnut. Finish" hot with lots of nutty astringency, some citrus. A bit of red fruit (cherry, plum), warming burn. Not harsh Mouth feel: smooth and light.

Full body. A very good whiskey, but not a great one.

Full bodied, spicy and sweet. Spice does not linger for long.
