The best for sipping neat, on the rocks or cocktails. Very versatile. High rye, well-rounded experience! Will buy this again.

A rich, Straight Bourbon Whiskey by the Nelson's Green Brier Distillery in Tennessee crafted with a mashbill of 64% corn, 30% rye & 6% malted barley, aged for a minimum of 6 years in new charred American white oak barrels before being bottled at 45.2% ABV. It has a rich & aromatic birth with notes of maple syrup, caramel, citrus zest & flowers; while a balanced: fruity & spicy life adds notes of apricot, plum, cherry, vanilla & rye spice; that led to a long & warming death with notes of oak, pepper & cinnamon. When Nelson's Green Brier Distillery was relaunched, Belle Meade Bourbon was front and center. The bourbon is sourced from our favorite distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. A proprietary blend of different mash bills and yeast strains. What used to be available nationwide has been replaced with the rebranded Nelson Bros. brand. Besides the nostalgia and the history, this pour is a good sipper: light, simple, and sweet. The rye content gives it a little bit of spice, but overall, this one is all about sweetness.
