Reviewed June 11, 2023 (edited October 24, 2024)Alert! For a limited time buyers in the state of Georgia should be able to get the Benchmark series at a fantastic deal. If your store isn't selling the Benchmarks including the Single Barrel and Full Proof for around 10$ YES TEN DOLLARS a bottle then be sure and look at some other stores near you. This is due to the on going legal battle between Sazerec and RNDC,,, it apppears RNDC is literally dumping their warehouse stock of BT products, naturally they have very little of the higher end labels but fantastic deals on the Benchmark series exist and continue until ??? Pretty sure this is ONLY in the state of GA, but if anyone knows of other areas doing this feel free to chime in. -

Reviewed May 28, 2023 (edited December 23, 2023)If you’re in the bourbon capital of the world and find this for $25 or less- buy it. Neat drinker only- also I tend to not like a ton of high proof bourbon. - Granted there are exceptions. Remember this is a single barrel selection- so you’re taking some chances. This particular bottle had a truckload of flavor in the caramel department. A bit of more cinnamon/ spice at the end of the tase. At this price / SiB you can’t go wrong.21.95 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed May 5, 2023 (edited February 1, 2024)Not a lot of the nose. Maybe some cherry and vanilla? The taste has some good cinnamon notes and even a bit of tobacco/leather tastes the more you get into the pour. Finish leaves some warm oak behind.30.0 USD per BottleTotal Wine & More -

Reviewed May 2, 2023 (edited December 23, 2023)Single barrel, 95 proof, guessing it's aged ~4yrs. Tasted neat. Nose is sweet caramel corn and vanilla, whiff of spice. Dark copper color with good coating legs in the glass. In the mouth, oak and dry tannic bite, sweet burnt sugar, vanilla, and a little ethanol. Finish is sweet with some baking spice, quite compact and not very long. Not overly complex, but better than the old Benchmark #8. And a real value. A more interesting developed oak flavor than the Benchmard Bonded 100 proof, rounder, less ethanol, and more mature--that surprised me tasting these side by side. $5 more than the BIB, but worth it. Sip or mix this one without struggling over price.24.0 USD per Bottle
