BenRiach Authenticus 25 Year
Single Malt
Benriach // Speyside, Scotland
Once part of Pernod-Ricard, and more specifically, Chivas Regal, Benriach is now proud of its independence gained in 2008. For this bottling, the label is straightforward and does not try to lie to you: Speyside and Peat.
This is what you can expect. The name itself is an homage to a time when peat was common in Speyside before it was replaced by coal or other sources of energy.

Tasting Notes
"Peat is the first thing you get from this Benriach and though it’s not aggressive, it somehow hides the other aromas. On the palate the experience is quite different, with lots of sweetness and fruitiness to balance the peat. The overall profile on the mid-palate is ‘Speyside’, while the finish tends to lead back to the peat. The whisky is big and rich and would probably be most welcome at the end of a meal."
