One the nose: Sweet citrus, vanilla and a touch of woodiness.
On the palate: lemon/lime, vanilla and butterscotch, a light woodiness (likely from the virgin oak), a touch of red fruit (likely from the sherry cask), an earl gray tea note, and an interesting bitterness.
A very unique Speyside that is very pleasing and complex for the age. Very happy with this bottle!
The first sip is spice and briny with some smoke before the rest of the dram gives away to chocolate covered hazelnuts. Very creamy feel and so easy to drink. May have found my everyday sipper.
