Benromach 9 year old First Fill Sherry

A first fill sherry cask provides intense flavor, but this lightly peated Speyside is up to challenge of balancing it out. Citrus peel, clove, fig, plum, and apricot are all present in the surprisingly bright and vibrant nose. Darker and maltier on the palate. A ribbon of smoke is intertwined through all of the dried purple and red fruits with a faint kiss of burnt embers. The finish is chewy and rich with toffee and baking spices mingling.
