Black Button Empire Rye Whiskey

An an intense, grain-to-glass Straight Rye Whiskey by Jason Barrett founder of Black Button Distilling in Rochester, New York; distilled from 95% rye & 5% malted barley; aged in hand-charred American White Oak barrels before being bottled unfiltered at 42% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of pepper & spices; while a rich & full life adds notes of stone fruits, grain & black pepper; that led to a woody death with notes of oak, char, a hint of rye & nuts.
