Jason Barrett started his distillery at 24 and hasn’t regretted it yet. Black Button Distillery like many new distilling operations have a “farm to still” mentality. The white wheat used to make this is grown on the slopes of Conesus Lake.
Unflavored VodkaDistilled from any agricultural product, most commonly grains or potatoes. Typically distilled to 95% ABV. Water is added to bring the spirit down to as low as 37.5% ABV in the EU and 40% ABV in the US. It is usually filtered, often with charcoal, prior to bottling. It is almost always clear and unaged.
"The aroma is simple but sweet. That smell of artificial vanilla - almost a bit like icing. More artificial vanilla initially on the palate. The mid-palate is mostly neutral though there is a bit of sulphur. This finishes with a subtle taste of wet grain. This is a flexible vodka that can be sipped neat or used in cocktails."
