Black Canyon Corn Whiskey

From Black Canyon Distillery in Colorado, this sour mash corn whisky is distilled from locally-grown corn harvested just a few miles away from the distillery. The spirit ages for just a few months in kiln-dried white oak staves before it's proofed and bottled at 50% ABV.
CornMash bill at least 80% corn, no requirement to age, but if aged, must be in either new un-charred oak barrels or used oak barrels.

"Yellow gold in color with a nose of leather, cooked corn, and cinnamon. Sharp taste of spice initially with a quick mid-palate and finish of burnt caramel. The whiskey’s taste does not stick around for very long on the palate but leaves a dry feeling in the mouth. "
