The Black Dirt distillery is an offshoot of the folks who own American Fruits and Warwick Gin in upstate NY. It takes its name from the soil left by an ancient glacial lake in the area. Batch #5 consists of 80% Black Dirt grown corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye. Aged in new, charred American oak barrels with a char level of 3.

Tasting Notes

"For those searching for a less sweet bourbon, this is for you. Very toasty up front with robust cereal notes, malted chocolate and espresso. The touch of rye in the mash bill adds a tickle of spice rack on the back palate without making it too hot. Finishes with a subtle charcoal smoke."
