Black Ridge Special Reserve Port Barrel Finish

A rich, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey by Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky finished for 15 months in Ruby Port Barrels & bottled at 90 proof. It opens with notes of dried & red fruits, wood, herbs & spices; while a rich life adds notes of apple, mixed berry jam, toasted oak, caramel, star anise & vanilla; that leads to a balanced death of medium length. Nice and Smotth, the port barrel gives it a nice flavor profile

Can definitely taste the port wine note. Not a fan at first but wears on you after a few tastings.

Off nose. Funky bitter finish.
