very standard budget whisky, but not as entry-level as ballantines finest. on the rocks is good and drinkable, sipping neat can be a bit disappointing. wouldn't say it's bad, but considering with just a bit more you can buy better stuff, i'd say go for better stuff. need to review again, haven't drank it in a while and don't know how soon i'm gonna get a bottle of it.

Neat in Costa Rica. Mild peaty, apples, vanilla, spicy. This is supposed to be a cheap Buchanan, but it tastes similar to the 12 year, IMHO.
