Blade and Bow Bourbon

Bold flavor that doesn’t burn as hard as others. Similar to a Blanton’s but easier to find.

Rating: 13/23 I've been curious about this for a while. I've heard good things, but nothing exceptional. For the price, I wasn't prepared to gamble on a bottle, so I found it in a bar. This is fairly young, but with kind of a woody backing and a little bit of spice. It's not all that sweet, but it isn't terribly tart either, so the sweetness avoids being squashed. It reminds me a bit of regular Buffalo Trace. I'd bet it's 4 or maybe 5 years old. Overall, this is pretty bland and forgettable.

Vanilla notes throughout, nice warm finish of cinnamon and caramel
