A barrel-strength version of Bull Run Distilling Company's Temperance Trader Bourbon Whiskey, this marque comes in at roughly 30 proof more than the standard Temperance Trader. Distilled in Indiana, this high-rye mashbill bourbon (also containing corn and malted barley) is then matured for 4 to 6 years and blended in Oregon before being bottled. Add a splash of water or an ice cube to this whiskey to reveal its depth of flavor.

Tasting Notes

"On the nose, this bourbon is a little tight at first, showing mostly an alcoholic punch. Grain and oak hide behind the alcohol burn, but add a few cool drops to this whiskey and it begins to open up. Vanilla, oak and caramel begin to eke out, and then a really interesting ripe peach note, followed by some baking spices. On the palate, vanilla and oak lead the way with the initial sweetness being tempered by the wood. Then a classic hit of cinnamon followed by fresh-baked gingerbread. Canned peaches, mint and toasted almond round things out, before a medium finish that brings back the cinnamon along with baking spice and dried apricots. "
