The Blanton’s is the real deal. Today’s pappy. I forgot about it for awhile, mostly to save the bottle I have, but after a late night blind test the Blanton’s again came out on top. Easy to drink, smooth, and historic.
Nose: caramel, corn, slight alcohol.
Palate: Medium richness, minimal oil, quick hit of pepper, spice and a little fruit that fades away after a few seconds.
Finish: quick, clean and smooth. No alcohol burn.
Rocks open nothing up. Almost no pepper or spice anymore and nothing new shows up.
