Blood Oath is an annual limited edition release crafted by Lux Row Master Distiller & Blender John Rempe. For Pact No. 10, Rempe blended three batches of Kentucky straight bourbon. Then the blend received two finishes — the first was in Cabernet Franc wine barrels and the second in Merlot wine barrels. As with all Pact releases, this was bottled at 98.

Tasting Notes
"Rich nose with caramel, peanut brittle, vanilla and hearty oak. The bourbon has an average weight to it with more oak and light pepper on the tip of the tongue. The wine flavors get stronger with each sip that you take. It's tangy with flavors of toasted bread with berry jam. Overall, a nice finish with a decent length and is more fruity than dessert sweet."
