Blue Nectar Reposado Extra Blend Tequila

Blue Nectar is one of a few tequilas made at Tequila Selecto de Amititán distillery in the valley of Jalisco, which is known for its environmentally conscious practices. The agave is estate-grown using sustainable farming. Under the master distiller Saúl Pérez Santana and master blender Guillermo Garcia-Lay, this reposado is double-distilled and aged 6 to 12 months in charred North American oak.
Tequila ReposadoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged from 2 months up to a year in barrels no larger than 20,000 L. Any type of wood is acceptable, although ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Reposado translates to "rested".
"For a reposado there's quite a bit of heft. It's quite peppery and smoky with honeyed fruits, cinnamon, nutmeg and a bittersweet dark chocolate finish. Most reposados are a tad on the smoky side, but this one tastes more sweet than fiery."
