Blue Note Crossroads

Nose: Carmel mostly, slight ethanol burn Palate: Cinnamon, Carmel barrel spice Finish: Kentucky hug is long and lingers Overall: a decent to solid pour. My tasting was out of a fresh crack. I’ll come back to this one after it’s been open a while to see if it stretches it’s legs some.

This is the Blue Note Juke Joint all grown up, and just for $12 more. Nose: charred corn Palate: hot then mellows to burnt orange cornbread, with spicy notes Finish: Medium long, toasted orange marshmallow

Wonderful toasted oak on the nose and great almond taste with a hint of marshmallow. Very smooth and slightly smoky finish.

The nose: almost like an apple pie Palate: much like the nose with some nice oakyness Not overly complex, still, for what it does, it does very well. Definitely worth what I paid.

Nice, smooth, great value 100 proof bourbon. Barrels did enough that it doesn’t just taste like other MGP retreads. Worth a try.
