Very earthy flavor. Taste of peanuts and toffee. Long lasting finish with quite a bit of heat. I did not get the sweetness and oak of more traditional bourbon. A good bourbon on a cold night.

Finally finishing off a bottle of Granny’s Batch after occasionally sipping on this bottle for over a year. I wasn’t sure what to think of this one as I was a huge fan of Country Ham and that one really blew me away. This one is heeeeeeavy on the boiled peanut note and that being said, I didn’t care for it at first. The more I sat with this bottle the more I discovered that it was one of my favorite Bookers out of the whole lineup due to its uniqueness. The baking spice note and nuttiness really shines here.
Gloriously Jim Beam in its roasted peanut flavor profile. There's plenty going on here, but I love basking in the peanut brittle goodness. It's so interesting in that the Aroma is even of a can of roasted peanuts and a bit of a dusty element. Few drops of water created a darker toasted peanut flavor. Finish is great. This is truly wonderful.
Nose: Nuts, vanilla, oak
Palate: Peanut butter, apples, oak
Finish: Nuts, spicy oak
This is a awesome barrel proof bourbon. So complex and full of flavor. Well forth its price.
