Tasting Notes
"The nose offers a hefty dose of peanuts upfront, followed by rich vanilla, leather, oak, and cloves. The palate is as big and hot as the proof would suggest. Beneath the heat, find molasses ,salted caramel, and barrel char. A lengthy finish offers trail mix with pecans and dark chocolate chips, spearmint, and cigar box. Add some water to bring out more chocolaty sweetness, but also black pepper and wood tannins. (This review is for the 130-proof barrel #7, lot 06L06, Waterhouse I, floor 3, rick 7.)"
