Has a bit of a harsh nose, but notable oak and brown sugar. I actually love the color. Nice sweet upfront flavor of brown sugar and vanilla. Mild oily mouth feel. Burnt caramel precedes the chest warmth. I’m a big fan of its potency.

Sweet nuttiness on the nose doesn’t come through in the taste. Brown sugar and vanilla hit on the front with high heat going throughout. Lingering leathery mouthfeel.

Quick review: good batch, not mind blowing. Definitely recommend to drink it neat, it became bland with a bit of water. Honestly, a local Knob Creek store pick is better and less expensive (I'll be picking up a couple more of those next payday). That being said, I don't regret buying the Bookers, but I'm a mark for the Bookers series, I collect the cards and generally enjoy the Beam taste profile. If you're not a collector, (and can't find it for MSRP) I'd probably skip it.

Looks thin for a Bookers batch but beautiful copper color. Oily and drapes the glass edges. Super smooth up front and complex on the palate. Does not taste overly oaky. Nicely warm going down.
