Sweet and peaty. The sherry cask brings out the smoky tone but it still is easy to drink.
Recommend to people that enjoy aromas of peat but still sweet whiskys
Very dark, beautiful appearance. Sherry, smoke and wood notes, lots of dry wood, tannins. Dry mouthfeel, slightly sour in the taste, still enjoyable. Clean smoky taste, less peat than typical Islay whisky.
Nose: Motor oil, peach, and dark fruit
Taste: Earthy, woody, semi sweet plum, toffee, and subdued smoke.
Finish: The best part! Fruit cake with brandy. Long, semi sweet, relaxing, and dry.
Reminds me of an old maroon leather book.
