Bowmore 16 Ruby Port Cask Finish

Malty, like the 19 year. But well executed. No peat or smoke really. Pretty good but not special.

Some peat feeling but not smokey. Very smooth on the tongue. I get a lot of a dried fruit in tasting and leather contexture.

Nose: sweet, syrupy port, gentle peat, a bit of vanilla cream, furniture polish/wood varnish. Palate: beautiful. Robust sweet port notes, a sweet dark old vinous character. Plum, brown sugar, A nice mature oak tannin. Red fruit. Finish: a delicate amount of peat, drying wood tannin.
