Bowmore introduced its Sherry Oak Cask Collection in 2024 with four single malt offerings ranging from 12-21 years-old. This bottling matured at least 21 years in European oak oloroso sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels.
It then received a finish in European oak oloroso sherry casks followed by a further finish in PX sherry casks. This is expected to launch in the US on Valentine's Day 2026.

Tasting Notes
"Only a hint of earthy peat smoke enters the nose as it mixes with rich aromas of fudgy cake, dried fruit, cherry preserves, and salted roasted walnuts. The medium-heavy weight palate is rich and dense, with robust flavors of mushrooms, bittersweet chocolate, tart dried cherry, dried black figs, and salted almonds. The smokiness drifts in toward the finish with a meaty, slightly briny character, mingling like a seasoned party guest with the sweeter, richer flavors. "
