Reviewed March 25, 2024 (edited March 26, 2024)The nose is full of oak and ripe fruit, with fresh vibrant flowers following along with touches of vanilla. It's strong on fresh citrus, along with touches of honey and straw. The palate is very gentle, allowing you to swirl It endlessly as oak and vanilla gently coat the mouth before giving way to a burst of rye spice. Slight hints of rape fruitiness comes out at the very end to round this out. This more or less fits the profile for Buffalo Trace, except being a single barrel makes the flavors just a bit more intense and rich. That is the joy of this offering is that for the price you can get something so wonderful. The finish is medium long with the spiciness fading disappointingly quick but leaving a nice aftertaste of oak, vanilla, rye and the slightest hint of fresh fruit. Pretty wonderful to sit on and a great offering of Kentucky bourbon.
