Bulleit Old Fashioned Cocktail

A bit sweet old fashioned

Does it compare to a handmade Old Fashioned: of course not. But when traveling it's the perfect compromise. I get my favorite drink in a single bottle!

I'll start by saying I typically use Bulleit when I make an old fashioned, so I figure why not try something that can save me a minute or two? This doesn't taste like Bulleit, it tastes like it hasn't been aged long enough. If I make one on my own, it's darker. It's a little sweeter than I like too. This tastes like a cheap bottom shelf old fashioned that you'd get at any dive bar, where they're trying to hide the cheap booze with a little too much sugar. Would not recommend.

I've been trying a few ready made mixed drinks and this is one of the best so far. It is not too mixed with flavors and not too syrupy to me. The Bourbon is not overpowered. The ABV (75 proof) is such that a single small glass is enough to mellow out with a cigar and then easily store in the fridge for later. This and the sister drink The Manhattan in the green bottle are 2 of my gotos at the moment. Quick non-watered down mixed drinks to just enjoy.
