Bunnahabhain 12 Year

An strong flavor of sea breeze, almonds and licorice toffee on the nose. With wood, spices and a bit of peaty on the palate. A long enjoyable finish.

I discovered this jewel in a Whisky shop, when the woman on the counter mentioned that this was the favourite whisky of her boss. So I gave it a try without comparing prices, and the 70$ probably were a bit overpriced compared to other shops. I am very pleased with this dram. Having tasted 2-3 whiskys every day for the last 2 weeks (holiday), this was one of my favorites, when I wanted a bit of sweetness in the dram. Nose: Caramel. Roasted almonds. Honey. Flowers. Palate: Sweet and oily. Great mouthfeel. Again Caramel. Honey. But also spices. Delicious! Finish: Tobacco This is just fantastic, and it will be part of my permanent collection.

Definitely a change compared to rest of Islam whisky. Nose has light chocolate, plum, raisin, vanilla and light smoke. Palette is long and light. Again vanilla, raisins, plums, chocolate with a little spice to you find in bourbons. Good stuff!

Sweet sherry flavor with a touch of peat.

Solid 4. Tons of flavor. Very subtle peat. Delicious.
