First of all, it is natural colour, non-chillfiltered and bottled at 46,3 ABV, so this simply cant be a bad whisky.
On the nose the profile is very smooth, no sharpness there at all. Mainly dark nutty and fruity character accompanied with small smokiness. The presence of sherry and bourbon is definetly there.
First without a drop of water, on palette there is oakiness, dark fruits, raisiness. It has strong and full arrival. It leaves fresh fruity flavours in the mouth. After some time the smoke starts to push back in with some oakiness there as well. After a drop of water the arrival is much smoother and longer, and much more tasteful. There is also a new note for me, "earthiness". It is very creamy, and more toffee/caramel like. The aftertaste IS very long, with oaky and fruity flavours.
It is quite a complex whisky, and I will definetly spend lots of time with this one, and maybe update this review accordingly.
