Caliche // Puerto Rico
Mutually developed by model/Miami club promoter Rande Gerber and sixth generation distiller Roberto Serralles, Caliche is a super-premium white rum from Puerto Rico.
The charcoal filtration process removes the color from what is actually a blend of rums from 3-5 years old, along with some solera-aged rum.

Tasting Notes
"The nose is fairly astringent, but it calms down after sitting for a minute or two. The nose includes citrus and vanilla followed by caramel and a hint of oak. As the rum washes over the tongue, the heat is attenuated by some sweetness. There is a moderate viscosity that is slick and a tad oily. There is a healthy dose of vanilla on the front end, but it is quickly backed up by a kick of spice. The dry finish is lengthy for a white rum, dominated caramel, lemon and orange notes."
