Aromas of orange, spruce wood, grapefruit, quinine, and dried sage. The same notes reappear on the palate, which is initially sweet before becoming very bitter on the finish. Round, oily mouthfeel. Finish is quite long. Its intense bitterness makes Campari somewhat overpowering on its own – but there’s good reason behind its indelible place in many classic cocktails.
