Canadian Club Chairman's Select 100% Rye
Canadian Club // Canada
During prohibition, Canadian Club was the first to package their whisky in curved bottles. This curve made it easier to discreetly tuck away a bottle on your person. They chalked up another first for Canadian Whisky when in 2014 they released Canadian Club Chairman’s Select 100% Rye. It was the first 100% rye grain whisky to be released by one of the top three selling whisky brands in Canada. This rye is distilled at Alberta Distillers then bottled in Walkerville, Ontario. Note: This product is sold in the U.S. as Canadian Club 100% Rye and was made available in June 2016. Chairman's Select 100% Rye was a Canadian release.
CanadianDISTILLED IN CANADA AND AGED IN BARRELS FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS; OFTEN (BUT NOT ALWAYS) CANADIAN WHISKIES ARE BLENDS OF CORN, BARLEY, AND RYE WHISKIES WHICH WERE DISTILLED AND MATURED SEPARATELY. TRADITIONALLY, CANADIAN WHISKEY IS CALLED “RYE”, ALTHOUGH NO MINIMUM PERCENTAGE OF RYE-GRAIN WHISKY IS REQUIRED IN A BLEND.

"This is a familiar rye with textbook floral notes on the nose. Popping toasted grains swirl with oaky vanilla leading your mouth on a journey of rye spiciness and creamy caramel. Orange citrus mixed with baking spices, such as clove and hot cinnamon, hang around a long time like they’ve been charged by the Energizer Bunny. This whisky is a prodigy for cocktails but just as delicious as a sipper. "
