Reviewed October 26, 2023Might be my favorite whiskey I've tasted out of nearly 275 logged on this app. Butterscotch, maple, vanilla, pepper, mint. Really amazing, smooth, long-lasting finish that's a perfect balance of sweet, spicy and even salty. (Opened for B promotion LTC) -

Reviewed April 29, 2023 (edited October 13, 2023)This was an amazing gift from @BradMacario! I've tried and veey much enjoyed the other years in the Chronicles line (including some other donations from @BradMacario) and I'm excited to spend some time with it here. Nose: There are a lot of brown sugar and maple syrup notes at the forefront. There is some cinnamon in the background. This is reminiscent of delicious French Toast. Palate: There is a surprising amount of soice that hits early on. Black pepper and cinnamon hearts are the stars here surprisingly, given the sweetness on the nose. There is a trace of bitter dark chocolate here as well. Finish: This is a lovely long finish with some briny bitterness that hangs around on the back of the palate for some time. Notes of dark chocolate are here as well as some fresh garden mint. There is a delicious leathery chewiness that is enioyable for well over a minute. Overall this latest edition of the CC Chronicles series does not disappoint. It has a little bit of everything - sweetness on the nose, a spicy palate, and a long chewy finish. I highly recommend any or all of these bottles, with this one possibly being the best thus far.
