Fountana Beverage have followed up their Canadian Rockies 10 and 21 year old whiskies with the oldest Canadian whisky currently available – a 35 years old expression. $19,800 New Taiwan Dollars will buy you a bottle. That converts to roughly $600 US which also makes it the most expensive Canadian Whisky available. Taiwan only.

DISTILLED IN CANADA AND AGED IN BARRELS FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS; OFTEN (BUT NOT ALWAYS) CANADIAN WHISKIES ARE BLENDS OF CORN, BARLEY, AND RYE WHISKIES WHICH WERE DISTILLED AND MATURED SEPARATELY. TRADITIONALLY, CANADIAN WHISKEY IS CALLED “RYE”, ALTHOUGH NO MINIMUM PERCENTAGE OF RYE-GRAIN WHISKY IS REQUIRED IN A BLEND.

Tasting Notes

"The nose is an assertive blend of caramel, herbal dilled pickle chips, cornhusk and old oak with a mention of cleaning solvents. A high-proof spicy heat melts the whisky in your mouth, not in your hands. Sweet dried fruits and vanilla seamlessly spring a finish that will out burn the sun. If you’re sitting across from someone drinking this stunner, apply sunscreen. Their bright smile may cause sunburn."
