Canadian Club // Ontario, Canada
After being chased out of Detroit in the late-1800s by annoying prohibitionists, Hiram Walker set up a distillery across the Detroit River in Windsor, Ontario, making blended Canadian whiskies--called "club" whiskies for their smoothness--uninterrupted for over 150 years. In the 1920s, Canadian Club kept the US wet during the Dark Ages of our nation --distributed by none other than Al Capone.
Now owned by Beam Suntory, Canadian Club continues its faithful service to the world of whisky. This offering is aged at least twenty years before being bottled at 40% ABV.

Tasting Notes
"Drenched in toffee on the nose with a blend of dry black pepper spices and rye fruitiness. The palate is opaque with brown sugar, dark fruits and cereals – almost rum-like. A pop of sweet fruitiness fades into a surprisingly dry finish with pipe tobacco and Canadian Club’s signature dried fruits with a touch more wood."
